Lynch and Associates - Engineering Consultants,... is Hiring a Professional Land Surveyor Near Milwaukee, WI

Lynch & Associates is a growing multi-disciplinary consulting firm located in New Berlin and Burlington, Wisconsin with a family focused culture. Our core business includes civil engineering, surveying, construction observation, and municipal services. We provide innovative solutions through technology, inspired design, and client centric customer service. We are currently seeking a highly motivated Professional Land Surveyor to join our team.


Qualifications and Experience:

  • 4 or more years of experience
  • Bachelor's or Associate Degree
  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record
  • PLS Registration
  • Participation in a professional organization

Essential Responsibilities:

Candidates would be required to perform tasks such as:

  • Manage all aspects of survey projects
  • Assist in operations and scheduling of survey crews
  • Complete various surveying tasks assigned by a Project Manager, and work under their direct supervision
  • Work independently with minimal oversight, with all work being reviewed by the Project Manager
  • Use of AutoCAD and Civil 3D and other survey software to perform topographic surveys, construction layout and staking, development of certified survey map and plats of survey
  • Project and client management responsibilities
  • Communicate with project teams in all offices as well as clients, peers, and agencies
  • Direct field staff on project specific tasks
  • Assist in the training and oversight of staff
  • Prepare reports, letters, and permits for surveying projects
  • Provide QA/QC of designs completed by surveying staff
  • Provide proposals and contract preparation with final contracts reviewed and approved by a Managing Member
  • Assist in project budgeting, billings, and AR process
  • Assist in marketing responsibilities and group development
  • No physical limitations to restrict the ability to work through inclement weather or terrain, remain standing or walking for several hours at a time, or lift 40 pounds
  • Have the ability to provide overtime to meet project deadlines
  • Maintain insurability under the Lynch & Associates Automotive policy to operate a company or personal vehicle to conduct business
  • Assist in any other assigned tasks in support of the Lynch & Associates team
