An established orthopedic practice in Iowa City is seeking a Physician Assistant to join their team. Work alongside a team of board certified Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers. Candidates with previous surgical experience as well as recent graduates are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities:

• Full-time permanent position - hand, wrist, foot, ankle, hip, knee, shoulder, and spine
• Mix of clinic and OR (1 day clinic, 4 days OR)
• Shared call is 1:7 weekends
• Conduct thorough patient evaluations and assessments
• Diagnose conditions through physical examinations, medical imaging, and laboratory tests
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients
• Prescribe medications and recommend non-surgical treatments such as physical therapy or rehabilitation
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed

Qualifications:

• Iowa State License
• Knowledge of orthopedic surgery, treatments and terminology
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities effectively
• Proficient in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems
