The residential program at LYDIA services youth ages 6-17; many of whom are involved with the Department of Child and Family Services (DCFS). The youth reside at LYDIA and are provided a structured living environment in addition to treatment that focuses on skill-building, regulation, and the trauma/neglect they endured.

The opening is for a Case Manager for at risk youth.

Requirements:

• strong organizational skills
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Must have own transportation and current IL driver’s license
• Must be willing to support the mission of LYDIA
• Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work or related field.
• 2 years minimum case management experience
• Must become licensed by IL Department of Children & Family Services by passing the CERAP, CCA, 402 and Child Welfare exams
• Bi-lingual in Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular home visits to foster homes.
• Move cases toward permanency in juvenile court.
• Arrange sibling visitation, etc.
• Coordinate all services for wards of the state and their families
• Other duties as assigned
