Position Summary:
Maintaining a clean, safe, high quality, highly productive facility while making the most efficient and cost conscious use of the equipment and personnel. The person in this position will be responsible for doing all activities of the Inspection area, under the general policy and guidance of the Shift Leader/Production Manager.
Role Description:
Main priority is to make sure finished product is acceptable per established quality standards. Must understand that customer satisfaction is dependent upon the actions of the Inspection Operator.
Responsibilities:
· Ensure quality systems integrity.
· Inspecting products using industry-appropriate methods, such as comparing to standards, measuring dimensions.
· Inspects in-process production by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, communicating required adjustments to Sanding ASL/Shift leader.
Qualifications: Listed below are the minimum and/or desired qualifications of the position including education, work experience and knowledge & skills that are required to perform satisfactorily in the position:
Education and Work Experience:
· High School Graduate or equivalent preferred
· Minimum of 2 years of experience in manufacturing, quality control, a solid understanding of product quality is preferred.
Knowledge and Skills:
· Knowledge of the process
· Problem-solving skills
· Communication skills / Teamwork
· Attention to detail
· Reporting skills
· Basic computer skills
Physical Demands:
· Position requires minimal lifting up to 50 lbs.
· Position requires regular and reliable attendance.
