Position: Heavy Civil Superintendent - Roadway Construction

Location: Raleigh, NC

Salary: $100,000- $120,000 Bonus(s)

As they continue to expand their operations, they are seeking an experienced Heavy Civil Superintendent to join their team.

Position Overview: As the Heavy Civil Superintendent, you will be responsible for overseeing the execution of NCDOT roadway projects in the greater Triangle area. You will lead a skilled team of professionals, ensure project success from planning to completion, and uphold their company's standards of excellence and safety.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of NCDOT projects, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource management.
  • Supervise and coordinate field crews, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and compliance with project specifications and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers, Engineers, and clients to address project challenges and ensure client satisfaction.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment for all personnel.
  • Resolve issues and conflicts that arise during construction to minimize disruptions and ensure project continuity.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field is preferred, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in heavy civil construction, with a focus on roadway grading and paving construction projects.
  • Experience working on asphalt paving projects is required.
  • Experience working on NCDOT projects is highly preferred.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale projects from start to finish, with a strong emphasis on safety, quality, and efficiency.
  • Extensive knowledge of construction methods, materials, and equipment.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate teams.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to make sound decisions under pressure.
  • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
