Executive Electrical Vice President - Data Center Construction Experience

Salary ($275,000 - $350,000)

We have an opening for a highly skilled and experienced Data Center / Mission Critical Construction Vice President from an electrical minded background. This position will be to lead, expand and progress the status of the companies footprint in the data center market, outside of their current core locations. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of data center construction, project management, and previous examples of growing company divisions in the US. The successful professional for ths role will be expected to hit the ground running and play a vital role in ensuring the success of high value contracts, hyper-scale buildings and client relationships.

This company already has a successfully performing team, mainly established in the New York and Northeast markets where they are completing impressive projects. However, through repeat clients and the strong reputation they have in the electrical construction space, they have an urgent need for a Senior Management member to come aboard, and execute the growth of the Data Center team.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee a Healthy Team Growth
  • Play a pivotal part in the expansion of new and existing client accounts
  • Oversee teams working on data center construction projects
  • Collaborate with other executives to ensure the successful completion of current and new Mission Critical Projects

Project Management:

  • Lead teams on the whole project management process
  • Oversee full scope of projects development, from preconstruction through to operations
  • Implement changes into processes and regulations where necessary
  • Identifying potential risks and creating resolutions

Technical Expertise:

  • Electrical Construction experience from a on-site and management perspective is essential
  • A though and in-depth knowledge of data center construction projects in essential
  • A proven track record in implementing the latest electrical construction techniques and system
  • Experience in managing teams sized over a 300 person headcount and executing projects of the highest level of project completion and safety

Client Collaboration:

  • This will be a client facing role, experience in handling and communicating with high profile clients is essential
  • Ability to maintain positive client relationships and ensure client satisfaction throughout the project life-cycle
  • Ability to provide precise and clear instructions around saftey expectations and project timelines

Team Leadership:

  • Experience growing and developing staff will be one of the key factors for this role
  • Develop and foster the companies values and implement this into new employees
  • Expand the companies presence into new locations across the US, whilst maintaining company values
  • Implement SOPs, EPs, and Safety Regulation Procedures based on local law

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or other related field.
  • Proven experience in managing multiple hyper-scale data center construction projects.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Posses a thorough knowledge of mission-critical facility requirements, including power, cooling, and redundancy.
  • Familiarity with industry standards such as Up time Institute Tier Standards and ASHRAE guidelines.
  • PMP or relevant project management certification is a plus.
  • A strong background working with electrical construction aspects is essential
  • Ability to travel to different locations across the US
