Seeking a Director of Mechanical Engineering responsible for:

• Increasing productivity of the department
• Establishing design standards and protocols with the goal of producing a consistent product
• Developing and maintaining Standardized details
• Establishing format for design calculations (Heating/Cooling loads, Plumbing Water/Gas/Sanitary/Storm Lines, Energy Analysis
• Establishing format of design-specific major project equipment
• Selecting the software specific to mechanical department needs
• Recruiting of Staff
• Training and Development of Staff

Qualifications:

• BSME/MET/BSAE (or other engineering discipline with applicable experience).
• Current PE registration is required.
• LEED AP certification is preferred.
• Commissioning certification is a plus.
• 10 years' experience designing HVAC building systems in technically sophisticated facilities.
• Have experience writing fee proposals.
• Have project management experience running projects.
• Have experience invoicing clients on specific projects.
