Job Description

Job Description

Job Title: Interior Designer
Location: Austin, TX.

LEVY DYKEMA is looking for an interior designer with 2-10 years' experience to join our Austin office. We're looking for people who are ambitious and passionate about design; people who understand the industry and are ready for the next step in their career.

LEVY DYKEMA is proud of our diversity – in our team, in our projects, and in the work each person does to deliver our clients' success. You'll get the opportunity to be part of our close-knit, collaborative studio and work on a variety of project types, gaining experience in every phase from programming through construction. People here are quick to lend a hand, supportive, and excited about both teaching and learning. We believe everyone has something to contribute and on a project team, each member gets the opportunity to influence the outcome of the project.

We engage our clients throughout the process to develop amazing solutions that meet their needs, intentions, and budgets. We elevate design through a balance of innovation and sound principals, where the focus is on the client experience throughout. LEVY DYKEMA is proud to bring a renewed focus to our clients and our craft.

We're looking for people as exceptional as we are – entrepreneurial, adaptable, and fun to be around. We'll give you the opportunity to learn and grow at your own pace, without setting limits on your advancement. We pride ourselves on a “no drama” workplace; we enjoy each other's company but know when it's time to bear down and get the work done.

In this role, you will be exposed to a variety of tasks, including:

  • Working in a team to document the design including building components and details
  • Providing design input – from test fits to selecting finishes
  • Chasing design decisions through a project, driving consistency, and helping coordinate consultants
  • Helping prepare client presentations (and maybe even be a part of delivering them)
  • Helping see the design through construction, reviewing submittals and shop drawings, answering RFIs, and reviewing progress in the field

LEVY DYKEMA is looking for people who:

  • Have a professional degree in Interior Design and are pursuing licensure
  • Have 2 years minimum professional experience, ideally in office, multifamily, hospitality, or retail
  • Are excellent in Revit (experience with Sketchup, Bluebeam, Lumion, and Enscape are all big pluses)
  • Have strong design and visualization skills
  • Are excited to learn

At LEVY DYKEMA, part of our Texas Contemporary spirit is our dedication and role of giving back to the community. We accomplish this through our community volunteer work as a company and individually. Paid time off is provided to our employees for their volunteer work every month. LEVY DYKEMA offers additional benefits including IRA matching, full medical, dental, vision, wellness programs, and a paid “Birthday Holiday”. We are excited to have you join as at our new office at 7th and Congress (where we provide paid parking!)
