Kentucky Medication Aide (KMA) Responsibilities:
- Administer medications to residents according to physician orders and established procedures.
- Monitor residents for any adverse reactions or side effects from medications and report any concerns to the nursing staff.
- Document medication administration and resident responses accurately and timely in resident records.
- Assist with medication management tasks, including medication storage, inventory, and ordering.
- Provide support and assistance to residents with activities of daily living as needed.
- Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean and safe medication administration area.
- Participate in training and continuing education programs to maintain KMA certification.
Kentucky Medication Aide (KMA) Qualifications:
- Valid Kentucky Medication Aide (KMA) certification.
- Previous experience in medication administration is preferred.
