Lutron Electronics is Hiring a Global Process Improvement Manager Near Coopersburg, PA
Overview:
Lutron is seeking an experienced and driven Process Improvement Manager for our Corporate Operations department out of our Headquarters in Coopersburg, PA. In this role, you will be a key member of our Global Process Improvement group, responsible for identifying and leading process improvement activities across all of Lutron’s Corporate Operations functions. You will apply your knowledge of process improvement methodologies, your cross-functional communication skills, and change management leadership abilities to support functional managers in strengthening the improvement culture and problem-solving mentality in their departments. Through your efforts, you will drive fundamental process changes to eliminate waste and increase our overall effectiveness. Additionally, by applying your proven ability to coach and mentor, you will develop sustainable improvement capabilities at Lutron. Through your influence, you will drive the adoption of tools and Continuous Improvement methods, reinforcing their value proposition to enhance department-wide effectiveness.
Responsibilities:
Drive the adoption of Lutron Production System (LPS) pillars: standard work, visual management / daily management strategies, 5S, process auditing, and problem solving at all levels of the organization
Collaborate with other Continuous Improvement Champions to support cross-functional initiatives and methods for project execution and measurement
Develop sustainable improvement capabilities at Lutron through coaching and education
Drive adoption of tools and methods by reinforcing their value proposition
Assist leadership team with establishing improvement goals, prioritizing improvement projects, and allocating associated of improvement resources
Develop and maintain improvement plans that span the Corporate Operations function including: Purchasing, Materials Management, Planning, Logistics, etc.
Prepare and present improvement proposals to leadership with recommendations, including cost benefit analysis, risk mitigation, and action plans
Lead process improvement initiatives through the disciplined use of measurement, accountability, analysis, and discussion of alternatives to develop effective solutions
Develop effective communications to convey the positive impact of improvement initiatives in terms of financial and performance related metrics
Manage execution against critical program milestones, inter-dependencies, risk components, progress communication, coordination, and collaboration across teams and commitments
Assist with change management activities required to implement new processes and systems
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree
Minimum, cumulative GPA of 3.00
10 years of professional experience with 5 years’ experience in a Continuous Improvement role
Experience with the following tools and processes:
Lean/Six Sigma: Certified Black Belt or Master Black Belt preferred
Kaizen
Change Management
Project management experience should include overseeing project teams, identifying resources, developing budgets, scheduling, and planning
Proven success leading improvement projects and developing improvement resources
Able to instruct foundation level Change Improvement (CI) methods associated with Lean Six Sigma curricula
