JOB TITLE: RN - PRN

DEPARTMENT: Coble Creek Healthcare and Rehabilitation

REPORTS TO: Director of Nursing

SHIFT AVAILABLE: PRN availability - 1st shift 7a-3p

POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care and services to the residents of Twin Lakes Community.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for maintaining RN license.
  2. May pick up additional shifts as needed.
  3. Responsible for initiation and implementation of comprehensive nursing care to the residents of the Health Care Facility. May be required to provide nursing care and/or services to Independent and Assisted Living residents. Responds to or provides follow up on Emergency Calls as required.
  4. Administers medications and treatments according to written physician’s orders, policies, procedures and care plans.
  5. Monitors, observes and accurately records nursing care and services provided to the resident and the resident’s response to same.
  6. Is knowledgeable in and complies with infection control procedures. Initiates precautionary or isolation infection control procedures when appropriate and reports these measures to supervision.
  7. Monitors accuracy and completeness of physician’s orders and the notification of physicians regarding changes in residents’ conditions.
  8. Provides counseling to residents’ families as needed and refers specific problems to the appropriate TLC employees as necessary.
  9. Completes all necessary documentation on residents and ensures all proper documentation is either sent or retrieved if resident moves from one level of care to another.
  10. Oversees and is responsible for care and services provided by LPN’s and CNA’s.
  11. Responds and reacts in a kind, polite, and professional manner to residents, families, visitors, coworkers, and supervision.
  12. Responsible for protecting any confidential information concerning employees, residents, family, and/or the organization.
  13. Must demonstrate knowledge of and adhere to all Safety procedures and facility Fire, Disaster, and Bomb Threat procedures.
  14. Adheres to all organizational, departmental, and nursing procedures in the performance of position responsibilities.
  15. Must attend organizational or departmental conferences and/or in-services as scheduled.
  16. May be required to perform other duties in keeping with the nature of this position which will not significantly alter the job requirements

Education and/or Experience:

  • Must maintain RN licensing requirements
  • 2 years experience in Skilled Nursing environment
