HOURS: Part Time (10 hours per week). Monday through Friday, 4 pm to 6 pm. During the summer, flexible hours, max of 20 hours per week.

SALARY: $11 per hour

RESPONSIBILITIES: The Childcare Aide will work with the Southern Hills School Age Program. Responsibilities include reading to and playing with students. Aides are never alone in the room with students and are an enhancement to the curriculum to provide additional hands-on time with students during the busiest hours of the day. In addition, aides will complete some light cleaning, including sanitizing toys, organizing classroom supplies, sweeping and wiping down surfaces throughout the site.

LSS provides staff with a strong team of supervisors to ensure a high level of comfort in their role as well as excellent training and communication. There are opportunities to get more hours and responsibilities as you get older too! 

QUALIFICATIONS: Must enjoy being around kids! Must be willing to listen to and follow direction. Must be 14-16 years old and meet licensing requirements including no substantiated report of child abuse or neglect and no felony in the last five years. 

Must successfully complete all agency background checks.
