Food Pantry Distribution Coordinator

Full Time Day Shift Flexible Hours

Lutheran Social Services of Central Ohio is currently seeking Food Pantry Distribution Coordinator for our food pantry in Lancaster, OH.

The ideal candidate will share Our Mission : Creating a better world by serving people in need.

What will I do as a Food Pantry Distribution Coordinator with Lutheran Social Services?

  • Oversees client service at food pantry distributions.
  • Ensures safe food handling at fixed locations, including daily temperature monitoring.
  • Receiving donations including weighing, recording, and providing receipts to donors.
  • Works with Franklin County Distribution Coordinator to provide work direction to distribution site volunteers and provides oversight of volunteers ensuring the highest quality of service for each client.
  • Provides feedback of any issues or concerns to the Volunteer Services Manager.
  • Ensure that all distribution facilities and grounds and agency equipment are maintained in good order and are left in the same condition prior to the event.
  • Refers client and volunteer grievances in a timely and professional manner to the Franklin County Distribution Coordinator.
  • Acts as a liaison to distribution facility staff to address questions, issues and concerns.
  • Offers back up to the distribution center facility staff as needed.

Requirements for a Food Pantry Distribution Coordinator with Lutheran Social Services :

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Willingness to learn how to operate warehouse equipment and drive a delivery truck.
  • Ability to multi-task and defuse tense situations.
  • Ability to supervise and support volunteers.
  • Effective computer skills including proficient in Microsoft Office, and Outlook.
