Lutheran Services Florida is Hiring a Communications Coordinator (9638) Near Jacksonville, FL

Lutheran Services Florida (LSF) envisions a world where children are safe, families are strong,and communities are vibrant.
LSF is seeking a talented Communications Coordinator who wants to make an impact in the lives of others.
Purpose and Impact:
The communications coordinator is a member of LSF Health Systems' (LSFHS) Resource Development team with primary responsibility for developing and implementing effective marketing and communications strategies. The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator who is experienced in social media management, web design, podcast management, and graphic design.
Essential Functions:
  • Develops and implements LSFHS' annual communication plan under the direction of the Director of Resource Development.
  • Develops and manages communications master calendar
  • Collaborates with all LSFHS departments for story ideas to include news from provider organizations as it relates to partnering with LSFHS; seeks out interviews with people of note in the field; develops stories with images in a timely fashion for use across channels with an eye for stories worth considering for annual impact report.
  • Coordinates with LSF Central Services for updates that should be included on LSFHS channels and vice versa.
  • Manages all aspects of Mind Redefined podcast: schedules based on monthly themes; books and interviews speakers; shares across all platforms; tracks and reports performance analytics.
  • Collaborates with external PR firm to publish a minimum of one media release per month
  • Keep LSFHS website and intranet up to date
  • Develops content for and manages blog on LSFHS webpage
  • Ensures contracted network service providers are acknowledging relationship with LSFHS as appropriate; provides tools to assist in meeting requirements.
  • Creates, edits and posts videos for all marketing channels
  • Assists training academy with marketing efforts
  • Develops and ensures that marketing materials are up to date and comply with branding requirements. Reviews and proofs all LSFHS training and event fliers for compliance with funder and brand requirements. Keeps track of inventory.
  • Curates content for social media and manages LSFHS social media sites
  • Develops newsletters and
  • Develops and implements marketing/communication plan for annual innovation summit and other LSFHS-led summits and events.
  • Develops robust plan to repackage, build on and share the content from annual innovation summit and other LSFHS-led summits and conferences
  • Monitors analytics and creates reports detailing successes and opportunities for improvement as it relates to communications campaigns and strategies
Other Functions: Other duties as assigned
Physical Requirements: Ability to travel within the 23-county region served by LSF Health Systems. Valid Florida driver's license and current insurance.
Education: Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications or journalism.
Experience: At least 3 years of experience in a communications or marketing position, preferably in the nonprofit sector
Skills:
  • Proven knowledge of communications and marketing ethics and best practices
  • A high level of creativity and the ability to think analytically
  • Experienced in Photoshop, InDesign, and Web design
  • Strong video editing skills
  • Experience managing a podcast
  • Social media expertise
  • Must have excellent writing and editing skills and be able to communicate clearly and
  • Strong time-management and organizational
Other: The individual considered must also demonstrate sensitivity to our service population's cultural and socioeconomic characteristics and needs.
