Lutheran Senior Services is Hiring an Internal Liaison Home and Community Based Services Near Brentwood, MO

Summary:
This position is responsible for the day-to-day sales-related activities and implementation of the sales efforts outlined in the strategic sales and marketing plan for Lutheran Senior Services’ licensed levels of care, including establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with referral sources, customers, and LSS team members; Upholds the Lutheran Senior Services philosophy, core values, and goals to ensure that the Christian mission of “ Older Adults Living Life to the Fullest ” is realized.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Meets established goals for admissions and new referrals to Lutheran Senior Services’ (LSS) licensed levels of care within our Life Plan Communities (LPC)
Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with referral sources, LSS Communities, and key stakeholders
Markets and sells to assigned and new accounts including hospitals, physicians and other medical professionals, senior living communities, senior centers, geriatric care managers, community groups, churches, and other key audiences to generate appropriate admissions, referrals and occupancy levels
Identifies and pursues new opportunities to increase appropriate referrals and occupancy
Promotes LSS as the senior living service provider of choice within the assigned territory
Understands current Medicare, Medicaid, and Managed Care regulations related to the various programs and services
Connects clients and customers to the entire LSS continuum as appropriate (i.e. LPC’s, Home and Community Based Services, Affordable Housing)
Coordinates external sales efforts with health services counselors and other LPC sales team members with support from the Executive Director of Sales Growth and Strategy
Tracks appropriate information in the database throughout the marketing and sales process daily
Establishes a positive image of LSS in the community
Maintains a high standard of excellence by promoting a positive, productive, and compassionate customer experience, always striving to exceed customer expectations and treating patients, residents, guests, clients, families, physicians, visitors, vendors, and coworkers with dignity and respect
Promotes an atmosphere of teamwork, emphasizing a group effort in which the contribution of every employee is essential
Participates in weekly calls with the sales team at each LSS LPC
Develops, with the Executive Director of Sales Growth and Strategy, strategic sales and marketing plans for the assigned territory
Meets with Executive Director of Sales Growth and Strategy to establish quarterly goals and action plans
Completes required documentation in LSS database
Participates in training that is offered and provided
Completes quarterly key account profile
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in nursing, social work, or business/marketing
Experience in marketing/sales of senior living communities, skilled rehabilitation, or home and community-based services preferred
Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and managed care plans for coverage of Post-Acute Care services
Must be able to understand insurance contracts in place across the LSS continuum
Self-motivation to work independently and as a team member
Advanced knowledge of computer technology; Database experience
Must possess demonstrated skills and ability to effectively present information to management and public groups; the ability to interact effectively with referral sources, LSS team members, residents, clients, families, visitors, and the general public, and the ability to implement and interpret programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures
Ability to operate independently and travel locally to established and new referral sources within an assigned territory to generate appropriate referrals and program enrollments with emphasis on hospice, private duty, and home health
Must be comfortable in a clinical environment and possess a general knowledge of medical terminology
