POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the leadership of the Operations Manager, Pharmacy Specialist, or Director and the technical guidance of a pharmacist, assists the pharmacist in filling medication orders, preparing IV admixtures, and maintaining appropriate levels of medications in pharmacy, nursing units, service carts and trays to meet patient care needs.
Education:
Minimum of a high school diploma or GED. Lutheran Health Network facility will provide on-the-job training including
IV admixture training. Successful completion of an Indiana Board of Pharmacy approved Pharmacy Technician
training program at a previous site is a plus.
Experience:
At least 6 months experience as a hospital pharmacy technician is preferred.
Licenses:
Must hold an at all Indiana Pharmacy Technician Certificate or an Indiana Pharmacy Technician in Training Permit. All requirements of certification must be maintained at all times
