Under the general supervision of the Operations Manager, the Outreach and customer coordinator is responsible for laboratory outreach services and operations, including POC testing within clinic offices and off-site locations; adherence to protocols and policies, quality control performance and documentation, successful completion and documentation of competencies for any person performing bedside testing and timely and accurate completion of proficiency testing for any analysis resulted outside the laboratory. In addition, will achieve desired outcomes in growth, costs, provider and patient satisfaction and other system initiatives. Responsible, either directly or matrixed, for operations of: Client Services, Health Fairs, and coordination with Laboratory Operations, Couriers and routes, EMR interfaces, Business Development, Marketing, supplies, field service representatives, registration, coding and billing departments.

Minimal Acceptable Job Qualifications:

Education Required: Must have a bachelor's degree in a chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory science, or medical technology from an accredited institution that includes the minimal educational requirements outlined below:

2. Successful completion of an official U.S. military medical laboratory procedures training course of at least 50 weeks duration and have held the military enlisted occupational specialty of Medical Laboratory Specialist (Laboratory Technician).

Experience Required: Two years of laboratory experience or training (or both) in non-waived, point of care testing systems.

Experience Preferred: Laboratory management experience preferred. . Experience managing point of care lab testing in a hospital environment preferred.

Certification/Registration Preferred: MLS registration by ASCP or equivalent agency preferred.
