JOB SUMMARY:
Under the immediate supervision of the Manager of Sterile Processing Services. Manages and
coordinates the ordering , receiving, and stocking of surgical supplies for Main Surgery, CVOR and
Sterile Processing. Responsible for coordination and tracking of surgical implants, human tissue, and
all other specialty supplies. Facilitates receiving supplies and equipment needed for surgical
procedures with other facilities and vendors. Maintains adequate inventory of all supplies and
establishes PAR levels to assist in reordering as needed. Responsible for all vendor verification and
compliance as well as facility access. Oversee contacts for usage, pricing, and facility compliance.
Assists Manager in daily operations for all aspects of Surgical Supply.

MINIMAL ACCEPTABLE JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: High School Diploma or GED. Associates Degree preferred.
Experience: Previous experience in inventory control practices for ordering, receiving, stocking
supplies, equipment and implants in a medical setting preferred
Certification/Licensure:
SAMA Level 1 within 30 days of hire

Demonstrates working knowledge of the English language, verbal and written.
Demonstrates thorough knowledge of surgical procedures, equipment use and maintenance as well
as all applicable regulations.
Requires promotion of teamwork, positive attitude, and group cohesion, with vision of future
development of team members.
Requires the working knowledge of computer use, and the analytical and organizational skills
necessary for maintenance of records and instrument tracking software.
Demonstrates strong interpersonal and communication skills, verbal, written, necessary to interact
effectively with all internal and external unit customers, as needed.
