We are looking for a caring, dependable and enthusiastic Activity Director to join our team!

The Activity Director is responsible to plan, organize, and implement a program of therapeutic activities designed to meet the social, spiritual, intellectual, emotional, educational and physical needs and interest of residents in accordance with the comprehensive resident care plan.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

1. Oversees and assists in developing and maintaining all activity programs

2. Maintain schedules for all activity staff

3. Participates in Resident Care Plans

4. Train and recruit activities staff

5. Ensure that all activity progress notes are informative and descriptive of the services provided and of the resident’s response to the service

6. Assist staff and make routine visits to residents and assist with crafts, projects, etc., as necessary

7. Ensure that all programs meet the governmental, industry and Prairieview standards and requirements

8. Complete all necessary sections of the MDS and any other reports requested

9. Greets and assists all internal and external customers, guests, family members, residents, vendors and team members

10. Coordinates with area organizations for volunteers and religious services

11. Plan and conduct Resident Council meetings

12. Assess needs and maintain an adequate supply of materials to implement activity programs

13. Organize and schedule community events related to residents’ interests

14. All other duties as assigned

Required Education and Experience

1. Associates degree or equivalent experience preferred

2. Previous management experience preferred
