The Program: The URM program places refugee minors into loving and caring homes in the Tri-cities area. These youth do not have others to care for them. The Role: Social workers in this role assist with the re-settlement of Unaccompanied Refugee Minors into the Spokane area. This includes developing and implementing foster care case plans that address all life domains, working with community partners and advocating on behalf of our youth. This position enjoys a dynamic, flexible, hybrid work environment with a 37.5 hour work week. Education and/or Experience:• Bachelors or Masters of Social Work or related field in human services or child advocacy • Experience in child welfare and interest in working with immigrant and refugee populations• Strong cross-cultural communication skills desired and ability to work effectively with children who have experienced loss and trauma Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:• Agency Affiliated Counselor in Washington State• Cleared through the Washington State Patrol or FBI to work with vulnerable populations• Reliable Transportation, Valid Driver’s License, Vehicle Registration and Insurance THE PERKS: We offer a full benefits package with options for medical, dental, prescription and vision coverage; employer-paid short and long-term disability, as well as life insurance.
