Description

Luther Park Community is seeking a very reliable, customer focused COOK to provide a positive dining experience to residents in our Assisted Living facility. Prefer previous dietary (Cook) experience in a healthcare environment.

**All new hires must provide proof of being fully vaccinated against Covid-19 and current years' flu shot before being scheduled for orientation**

Overview of Responsibilities:

Prepare food items for the current meal.

Place hot food items on cart to go upstairs to steam table.

Place items on steam table and take and record temps.

Serve lunch to Small Dining Room, Room Trays then Large Dining Room.

After lunch, remove pans from Steam Table, wash steam table, bring pans down to be washed.

Start prep for next meal.

Check menu for next day to see what needs to be pulled from freezer.

Take food temps and record.

Do daily cleaning by following posted cleaning schedule.

Sweep and mop work area, lock all doors and place keys in locker before going home.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Must have ServSafe certificate or be able to acquire within allotted time frame.

Must pass background check and post-offer physical, TB test and Drug Screen.

Experience working in a long term care or other healthcare facility setting is preferred.

Must be able to fluently read, write, speak and understand the English language
