Luria Academy of Brooklyn, a Jewish Montessori Day School, is seeking a nurturing and adaptable Aftercare Teachers who understand the developmental and cognitive needs of children and who can work collaboratively in a creative, cooperative environment.

Aftercare Teacher responsibilities include:

• Working in aftercare from 4:00-6:15pm Mon-Thurs and 3pm-5:15pm on Fridays
• Attending to the needs of children in a caring and kind manner
• Organizing and supervising games and other recreational activities
• Promote the concepts of teamwork, fair play, and sportsmanship
• Communicate with classroom teachers and Division Heads regarding any concerns and/or behavioral issues occurring during aftercare hours

Qualified candidates should have:

• High school diploma
• Prior teaching or classroom experience or college coursework relevant to education

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

• After school
• Monday to Friday
