Position Summary:

We're looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead engineering projects from concept to completion at Lumitex. The ideal candidate will champion Lumitex's vision by spearheading projects in product development and applying technology to create innovative solutions that improve life with light. 

In this role, your strong engineering background will enable effective communication with cross-functional teams, resource management, and successful product launches. Your leadership and strategic thinking will play a key role in driving innovation, optimizing processes, managing budgets, and mentoring other Engineers and Engineering Co-Op students.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Support programs/projects that expand globally across multiple facilities
• Take ownership of managing key company-wide strategic launches for medical devices, overseeing all aspects of time, financial, and resource allocations.
• Master project management tools, develop product specifications, coordinate project activities, develop project budgets and establish project timelines.
• Develop and submit product compliance information to Document Control. 
• Demonstrate strong project management expertise by applying recognized tools to include the ability to: develop product specifications, coordinate project activities, and manage project budgets and timelines
• Cultivate and maintain existing customer relationships via on-site visits, phone conferences, etc.
• Mentor fellow Project Engineers and Engineering Co-Op students as assigned.
• Proactively Identify and submit continuous improvement opportunities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering – Electrical, Mechanical or Optical preferred.
• 5-10 years’ experience leading product development projects – lighting or medical device experience a plus
• CAPM or PMP certification a plus
• High-level understanding of project management tools, such as project charters, project plans, communication plans, and issue logs.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Solidworks or similar CAD programs preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office: Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, etc.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
