Requirements:

  • BILINGUAL (ENGLISH/SPANISH) CANDIDATE PREFERRED
  • Completion of an accredited Dental Assistant program or equivalent experience
  • Completion of Infection Control, Radiation Safety and other DA certifications
  • Prior 1-3 years experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred

Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant/Floater to join our team. You will play a vital role in assisting our dental professional in providing quality dental care to our patients. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong organizational skills and a passion for patient care.

Dental Assistant Responsibilities:

  • Prepare patients and operatories for treatment, Take digital x-rays
  • Provide chairside and lab assistance, Sterilize dental instruments
  • Perform weekly equipment testing and maintenance
  • Perform basic laboratory duties, such as pouring and trimming models, fabricating temporary crowns, and taking impressions
  • Follow all infection control protocols and maintain aseptic technique throughout procedures
  • Manage dental supply inventory, Perform other back-office duties as required

Floater Responsibilities:

  • Schedule patient appointments
  • Manage patient charts
  • Verify insurance eligibility
  • Manage patient recalls and follow-ups
  • Manage phone/email/text communication, etc.

Skills:
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain patient confidentiality
- Skilled in taking digital x-rays
- Familiarity with aseptic technique and infection control protocols
- Basic understanding of medical imaging techniques used in dentistry
- Ability to assist the dentist during procedures by providing chairside support
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry
