Admissions Nurse job description

Job Overview:

(1) Monday - Thursday: 10am to 8pm (four 10's)

OR

(2) Friday - Sunday: 9am to 9pm (three 12's)

As an admission nurse, you'll conduct comprehensive patient assessments, facilitate seamless admission procedures, and deliver compassionate care coordination, ensuring the best support for hospice patients and their families.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates and oversees all aspects of new patient admissions
  • Collaborates with patient care teams to ensure seamless communication
  • Educates families on patient condition, needs, and care
  • Performs head-to-toe physical assessments
  • Timely and accurately completes documentation
  • Other duties as assigned

Admission Nurse Requirements:

  • Current RN license in the state of Oklahoma
  • Current driver’s license and ability to travel within a 50-mile service radius
  • Current CPR and BCLS certification
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Hospice care: 2 years

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $67,000 - $81,000 per year
