We’re looking for a senior Security Software Developer or a hands-on Security Software Architect who is passionate about security and building features and services that keep customer data secure in the cloud.

Luminary Cloud is a well-funded Series A startup that is building the world’s best cloud-based physics simulation solution to empower mechanical engineers to rapidly iterate and test their products. Our mission is to democratize and modernize high-performance computing for commercial engineering & science, i.e. automotive, aerospace, consumer products, food & beverage, etc., a $20 billion technology market which has barely entered the cloud era. Our SaaS product enables realistic & interactive engineering simulations, focused on automated product design exploration & optimization. As our first security-focused developer, you will help build-in security from the ground up and define the security architecture and direction for our rapidly-growing, early-stage company. This will involve end-to-end delivery of security-related features and services from helping to document and prioritize security requirements to design, implementation and release. This position will also be a key contributor within the company, helping to define and drive security best practices and direction for the entire team.

We’re looking for a Senior Security Engineer/Architect who is:

• Excited to dive in on Day 1 to understand our current security posture and identify & prioritize security work
• An accomplished software developer  - Experienced (10 years) in designing and implementing innovative features related to cloud security and identity (e.g. encryption, PKI, IAM, certificate management, authentication and authorization, etc.)
• Passionate about security  - Understands the evolving security and threat landscape and is eager to help define and drive progress against our security roadmap 
• A security leader - In addition to delivering security features, you will also help review other engineers’ designs and code from a security perspective, and will help to define and evangelize security best practices within the larger engineering team
• Customer driven - You enjoy meeting with customers and potential customers to sell Luminary’s security posture and longer term vision, and to understand key security requirements
