Technical Writer (Battery/Renewables) - Fremont, CA
I am working with an established startup that has raised over $100million and have expanded their operations across the USA. They have been working on a state-of-the-art product that is leading the industry within the energy sector so it would be a great time to join their team at their global HQ in Fremont, CA.
Responsibilities:
- Support the Product Engineering team to obtain an understanding for the Battery Technology they are creating which includes BMS, Racking and Thermal Management
- Produce high quality technical documentation that is appropriate for the intended audience
- Prepare installation manuals and instructions for the customer
- Manage document control for both external and internal facing documents
- Update and improve existing technical documentation
Essential Skills:
- 3 Years experience writing technical documentation
- Able to deliver highly technical documentation, paying attention to detail
- Must have the ability to understand complexed engineering information and be able to make it understandable to a non-technical customer
Preferred Skills:
- Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is preferred but not essential
- Experience with Project Management tools (Propel PLM or Asana)
- Familiarity with UL/CE certifications
