Job Summary:
Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Safety and Health Manager to join their team in La Mars, Iowa. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining their safety and health programs to ensure a safe and healthy work environment for all employees.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive safety and health program in accordance with OSHA and other regulatory agencies.
• Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Investigate accidents and incidents, and develop and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Provide training and education to employees on safety and health topics, including hazard communication, personal protective equipment, and emergency response procedures.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of safety and health activities, including incident reports, training records, and inspection reports.
• Collaborate with management and employees to promote a strong safety culture and continuous improvement in safety performance.
• Stay up-to-date on changes in safety regulations and industry best practices, and make recommendations for improvements as needed.
• Assist with workers' compensation claims and return-to-work programs.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, or a related field. (preferred, but HS Diploma or equivalent is acceptable as well)
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in safety and health management, preferably in the ethanol or chemical industry.
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or similar certification preferred.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and other safety and health standards.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
