Summary:

The Rehab Technician assists the Service Manager in renovating the interior and exterior of the property in the execution of a capital improvement program, in maintaining the appearance of the property and to follow safe work habits. Rehab Technician has authority and responsibility to perform the function and tasks set forth below.

  • Remove and discard or salvage materials from units to be renovated; may include light carpentry, electrical, and plumbing

  • Make ready of units to be renovated; may include painting and carpet cleaning

  • Asist Service Team as needed

  • Assist in preventive maintenance/filter changes

  • May be asked to be available for rotating call

Qualifications


Required Qualifications

  • Must have a valid Driver’s License and reliable motor vehicle with current insurance at all times

  • Tools to complete job tasks 

  • Maintenance experience for at least 1 year

  • Able to read, write, and speak English

  • Training in at least 6 of the following areas: Apartment maintenance, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, HVAC, carpet repairs, refurbish and cleaning; EPA refrigerant license preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to kneel and stoop, dig for minor trenching, sweep for 1-2 hours,

  • Able to reach 2-3 feet overhead with 30 lbs.,

  • Able to work outside in hot or cold extremes,

  • Able to navigate an appliance dolly with up to 120 lbs. up and down stairs,

  • Able to pull out appliances from the wall, work with small tools,

  • Able to climb a ladder up to three stories and handle heights up to 40 feet,

  • Able to clean gutters and perform roof and window repairs,

  • Able to test pool chemicals,

  • Able to lift 50 lbs.,

  • Possess body mobility, including the ability to bend and lay down and bending,

  • Must have the dexterity to work with small tools and manipulate appliance/electrical parts.

  • Must have full color vision.
