PHYSICAL THERAPY ASSISTANT (PTA)
SITE OF SERVICE:
- Naval Hospital Pensacola, Pensacola Naval Base, FL
- Full Time
POSITION QUALIFICATION/REQUIREMENTS:
- Degree: Associates Degree.
- Education: Graduate from a college or university accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE).
- Certification: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) hands on certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Experience: Possess a minimum of one year as a Physical Therapist Assistant after graduation
- Licensure: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a physical therapy assistant or possess current certification as a physical therapy assistant/technician as determined by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).
- U.S. Citizenship: Shall be a U.S. citizen
- English Language Requirement: Able to read, write, and speak English well enough to effectively communicate.
- Physical Capability: Shall be physically capable of standing and/or sitting for extended periods of time and physically capable of performing all services required under the contract.
HOURS:
- Services shall normally be provided Monday through Friday between the hours of 0700 and 1800 (an 8.5 hour period which includes an uncompensated .5 hour meal break).
- The HCW shall be on duty for 80 hours every 2 weeks, except during periods of approved leave and holidays.
- In no instance will the HCW be required to provide services (on-site service plus approved leave and holidays) in excess of 80 hours per 2-week period.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS
Must be comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Must be able and willing to reprioritize on short notice and work on multiple simultaneous projects. Flexible and able to work with various personalities. Team-work skills required. Time management skills required. The ability to meet deadlines in a deadline intensive environment is essential. High level of adaptability and willingness to embrace change in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
