SITE OF SERVICE:
- Naval Medical Center Portsmouth (NMCP) located in Portsmouth, Virginia in support of NMCP and its associated Branch Health/Medical Clinics (BHC) and Tricare Prime Clinics (TPC).
- Full Time
- Degree : Certificate.
- Education: Graduate from a formal pharmacy technician program accredited by the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) or a formal pharmacy technician program (i.e., technical, hospital, or retail-based program) or a formal medical services training program of the United States Military.
- Experience/License: Have a minimum of 12 consecutive months experience within the preceding 24 months working as a pharmacy technician OR Certified by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB).
- Cardiac Certification:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) hands on course through American Heart Association.
- U.S. Citizenship: HCWs performing under this contract shall be U.S. citizens.
- English Language Requirement: The Contractor shall ensure that all HCWs providing services under this contract are able to read, write, and speak English well enough to effectively communicate.
- HCW Physical Capability: HCWs shall be physically capable of standing and/or sitting for extended periods of time and physically capable of performing all services required.
- The Pharmacy is open 24 hours a day, seven (7) days a week, 365 days a year, including all Federal Holidays.
- Services shall be provided to cover all hours of the day. Each HCW will be scheduled for a shift length that can range from four (4) hours to twelve and half (12.5) hours in length.
- Any shift greater than six (6) hours will include an uncompensated thirty (30) minute meal break. In no instance will a HCW exceed 80 hours per two-week period.

Must be comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Must be able and willing to reprioritize on short notice and work on multiple simultaneous projects. High level of adaptability and willingness to embrace change in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
