LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE - PEDIATRICS

SITE OF SERVICE:

• 21st Medical Group, Peterson AFB and Schriever AFB, Colorado.
• Full Time

POSITION QUALIFICATION/REQUIREMENTS:

• Degree: Certificate.
• Education: Graduate from an accredited community college, junior college, college, university or vocational nursing program/practical nursing program approved by the appropriate State agency and accredited by one of the following accrediting bodies at the time the program was completed by the applicant: The National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC) or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
• Certifications: Current hands on certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

• Experience: Shall have practiced as an LPN/LVN a minimum of 3 years full-time nursing
  • Must have a minimum of 1 year experience in the last 3 calendar years in a pediatric setting

• Licensure/Registration: Possess a current and unrestricted license to practice as a license as a practical or vocational nurse. in any one of the 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Guam, or the U.S. Virgin Island.

• U.S. Citizenship: Shall be a U.S. citizen

• English Language Requirement: Able to read, write, and speak English well enough to effectively communicate.
• Physical Capability: Shall be physically capable of standing and/or sitting for extended periods of time and physically capable of performing all services required under the contract.

HOURS:

Shift hours will be through Monday – Friday, 0730-1630

Must be comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Must be able and willing to reprioritize on short notice and work on multiple simultaneous projects. Flexible and able to work with various personalities. Team-work skills required. Time management skills required. The ability to meet deadlines in a deadline intensive environment is essential. High level of adaptability and willingness to embrace change in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
