Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Pharmacy Clerk. As a Pharmacy Clerk, you will play a vital role in supporting the pharmacy team and ensuring the smooth operation of the pharmacy. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting with medication administration, providing excellent patient service, and maintaining accurate records. Duties: - Assist pharmacists with medication dispensing and inventory management - Prepare and label medications for patients - Maintain patient profiles and records accurately - Answer phone calls and address customer inquiries - Process insurance claims and handle billing procedures - Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care - Adhere to all pharmacy policies and procedures - Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy area Skills: - Strong knowledge of medical terminology and pharmaceutical calculations - Experience in medication administration and patient care - Familiarity with acute care and critical care settings - Proficiency in using pharmacy software systems for data entry and record keeping - Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment - Strong communication skills to interact with patients, healthcare professionals, and colleagues - Knowledge of IV infusion procedures and aseptic technique is preferred This is an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in pursuing a career in the pharmaceutical field.
