SummaryResponsible for scheduling, ensuring that shift is properly staffed and that all operations are carried out safely and on time. Package items for shipment ensuring integrity of product packaged, Print Labels, Weigh Packages, put product in inventory locations.Essential Duties and Responsibilities The essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Prepares all paperwork required for shipment according to policy and procedures.
Oversee incoming and outgoing shipment to ensure accuracy, completeness and condition of shipments.
Supervise and coordinate activities of workers.
Supervise staff to ensure that tasks are completed on time and according to safety protocols and work procedures.
Order materials and supplies needed to support upcoming production requirements.
Evaluate staff performance and provide training where necessary.
Assist with training, coaching, workforce performance.
Reviews and validates that all transactions are correct in MRP system.
Create and Maintain inventory system for finished goods.
Review quality of product as packaged.
Assist department employees as needed to get shipments packaged properly and shipped.
Load trucks as required.
Operate equipment as required.
Perform Daily/Weekly preventative maintenance as required.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Performs other duties and responsibilities as apparent and/or assigned.
Model the right behavior in terms of initiative, compliance, moral character (honor, integrity, and courage) and work ethic to create teamwork and mutual respect amongst employees.

Supervisory Responsibilities Dept: Shipping and Receiving Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.Education and/or ExperienceRequired:

High school diploma or equivalent
3-5 years in a shipping/receiving environment.
2 years of supervisor experience
Strong work ethic, Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Lift Truck Certified
Proficient in Microsoft Office Products

Preferred:

Metal fabrication experience.
Bilingual Spanish

Language Skills Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, product and component specifications, data sheets and procedure manuals.Computer Skills and Other Equipment or Tools
