Basic Responsibilities:

Assess deep wounds, skin tears, ostomies, severe burns pressure injuries and diabetic wounds.

Knowledge and Skills

• Strong leadership skills, effective communication and ability to develop interpersonal relationships with residents, families and staff
• Considerable knowledge and application of nursing principles and practices
• Ability to maintain accurate records and prepare reports

Minimum Education and Experience

• Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse License in good standing with the Virginia Department of Health Professions.
• Wound Care Certification preferred
• Experience in a long-term health care setting preferred
