Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Manager to join our team. As an Assistant Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the overall operations of our grocery store. This is a full-time position with opportunities for growth and advancement.
Duties:
- Assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily operations and ensuring smooth functioning of the store
- Manage and supervise store employees, including recruiting, training, and development
- Monitor sales performance and implement strategies to maximize sales and achieve targets
- Maintain inventory levels and ensure proper stock rotation
- Negotiate with suppliers to secure competitive pricing and favorable terms
- Assist in budgeting and financial planning, including payroll management
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety regulations
- Provide exceptional customer service and resolve customer complaints or issues in a timely manner
- Collaborate with the Store Manager to implement marketing initiatives and promotional activities
Skills:
- Proven experience as an Assistant Manager or similar role in a grocery store setting
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with customers, employees, and suppliers
- Proficient in budgeting, financial analysis, and inventory management
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving skills to address operational challenges effectively
- Knowledge of recruiting, training, and development practices
