LUCK LANDSCAPING is Hiring a Landscape Foreman Near Toledo, OH

Overview:
The individual we seek for this position is an experienced landscaper/hardscaper who implements landscape construction design plans for large scale projects including water features in the Greater Toledo, Ohio area. In this full-time seasonal position, the Landscape/Hardscape Foreman is responsible for training and supervising one or more team members, while also performing a variety of landscaping construction duties, such as installing paver patios, retaining walls, koi ponds, water features, low-voltage lighting, and irrigation. The Foreman is responsible for ensuring that all daily tasks are completed on schedule and according to quality standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following, other duties may be assigned,

  • Performing a variety of landscaping and hardscaping construction duties.
  • Participate in pre-construction meetings with the property owner and Luck Landscaping’s Project Manager.
  • Understand the client and design expectations and scope as well as oversee field operations.
  • Participate in property walk-throughs, noting needs, and communicating relevant services and prices.
  • Effectively communicate progress on projects to Luck Landscaping’s Project Manager.
  • Coordinate and track project work as well as coordinate scheduling of materials and labor.
  • Comply with all company policies/procedures and safety requirements.
  • Plan, schedule, and implement the tasks of the field crew for landscape enhancement projects. These activities must result in compliance with contract specifications, budgets, and client expectations.
  • Give feedback on field crew performance and suggest ways to improve.
  • Serve as the customer liaison and advocate between the Project Manager and the field crew.
  • Participate in a final walk-through with the client to ensure customer satisfaction, and follow up after job completion to monitor callbacks and warranty work.
  • Always present a professional attitude and appearance.
  • Foster strong relationships with new and existing clients, responding to client concerns in a timely manner.
  • Must be willing and able to work weekends and overtime as needed.

Experience:

  • A minimum 10 years experience in landscape installation and hardscape construction required. A degree and/or working knowledge in horticultural (Required).
  • Project Management experience: 5 years (Required)
  • Knowledge of landscape terminology, plant materials, applicable construction materials and coordination in design (Required).
  • Knowledge of landscape/hardscape installation best practices and techniques (Required).
  • Water-feature experience including, but not limited to, working with Aquascape products (Preferred).
  • Experience with preparation of estimates, proposals, and presentations (Preferred).
  • Operation and knowledge of heavy equipment, such as excavators and skid-steers (Required).
  • Valid driver’s license and experience driving trucks and trailers (Required). A CDL is preferred.
