We’re looking for a Mechanical Engineer with structural, thermal, and electrical experience. If you’re the kind of person who sees a problem, develops a solution, and engineers an improvement no one’s asked for yet, then we want to talk with you!
As an Inverter Mechanical Development Engineer, you will develop improvements to state-of-the-art electric vehicle inverters, investigate electro-mechanical issues, and implement solutions. Our ideal candidate exhibits a can-do attitude and approaches his or her work with vigor and determination. 
Role:

• Lead investigation of research and development activities of a high voltage electro-mechanical system
• Coordinate actions in a multidisciplinary environment
• Apply the scientific method to research and development activities
• Utilize a variety of metrology and laboratory equipment
• Write test plans, design test fixtures, and follow through 

Qualifications:

• A flair for creative problem-solving and attention to detail
• 3-6 years of experience with a Bachelors or equivalent work experience
• Experience with engineering problem solving processes
• Hands-on practical experience with shop tools and prototyping
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as injection molding, sheet metal stamping, die casting, etc

Preferred:

• Experience in automotive product validation (environmental testing, shock/drop, etc)
• Experience with electric propulsion systems
• Experience with automotive engineering
• Experience with electronic control systems
• Strong 3D CAD skills, proficient with CATIA or similar software

Education:

• BS and/or MS in Mechanical Engineering
