As a High-Voltage Charging Mechanical Engineer you will develop state-of-the-art electric vehicle charging systems, investigate electro-mechanical challenges, and implement innovative solutions. The Role:

• Take ownership of components for the next-generation onboard charger, completing every aspect of design engineering from concept to production
• Exhibit a flair for creative problem-solving and attention to detail
• Demonstrate technical excellence and apply engineering first-principles to new applications
• Integrate mechanical designs with high-voltage electrical systems in a multidisciplinary environment
• Optimize designs for size, weight, durability, and cost
• Create 3D CAD models and 2D GD&T controlled drawings of complex parts and assemblies

Qualifications:

• 3-6 years of relevant work experience
• Strong mechanical engineering fundamentals
• Proficient with CATIA or similar CAD software (3DX experience highly beneficial)
• Experience with FEA using Ansys or similar software
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as injection molding, sheet metal stamping, die casting, etc
• Knowledge of material selection for prototyping and production
• Experience with root cause corrective action processes
• Well-developed team-work and interpersonal skills in a cross-functional environment

Preferred:

• Experience with automotive engineering
• Experience with power electronics

Education:

• BS and/or MS in Mechanical Engineering
