General Summary:
Lasting Department Quality Inspector
Get racks with boots and last inside with production tickets from lasters, average of 8 pairs per rack
Pull boot with last inside (approximately 5 lbs. per pair) from rack and place on inspection table
Read boot stamping information to match production tickets
Place production ticket on left pull strap
Inspect leather to match production tickets
Inspect boot for hi/low or crooked
Inspect toe wire, toe shape
Check toe on the boot to match last/foot mold number on production ticket
Send boot back on reject if necessary for repair
Scan production tickets in excel and NetSuite
Push rack with boots to next scanning station
Help Goodyear and Finishing Inspections when lasting is slow or when necessary
Customer Experience & Business Performance Focus:
Good communication skills with Manager regarding issues with Quality
Maintain data of all rejects
Support other Quality inspectors as necessary
Read and understand production ticket
Leadership Focus/Steward of the Brand:
Knowledge on construction and anatomy of a western boot
Respect towards company and its reputation as a top quality brand
Team player mentality and excellent work ethic
Operational Excellence Focus:
Will provide training to ensure continuation of Quality
Understand the Lucchese customer and experience
Use time effectively and understand priorities
Skills & Abilities Required:
Desire to achieve goals and have passion for the brand
Bilingual Preferable
Good Communication skills
Willing to learn and cross train at other Quality Inspection Stations
Must be able to stand at least 8 hours a day, work 40 hours a week and overtime when needed
Shift starts at 6:00 am
