Lubbock County is Hiring an Intervention Coordinator Near Lubbock, TX

Provides efficient intervention services for child support, including monitoring client compliance, file maintenance, customer service and other office support duties. Oversees Supervised Visitation Services. Assigns and monitors completion of adoption evaluations. Assists with juvenile/minor mediation compliance, as needed.

  • Performs child support and visitation related functions, including customer service to the general public concerning enforcement, Attorney General inquiries, and other general information
  • Monitors child support payment status of non-custodial parents and provides resources to parents to increase the ability to pay child support
  • Prepares cases for prosecution and referral to Attorney General
  • Processes data for the generation of reports
  • Processes requests for enforcement of child support Court Orders
  • Performs audits on accounts to determine child support arrears
  • Conducts investigations to locate absent parents
  • Monitors cases for compliance
  • Completes intakes for parents, when necessary
  • Contacts juvenile/minor participants regarding options to bring into compliance, as needed
  • Receives written and other communication and updates juvenile/minor mediation files, as needed
  • Updates database with compliance information gathered, as needed
  • Ensure receipt of paperwork for requests for adoption evaluations
  • Assigns evaluators for adoption evaluations
  • Creates orders for adoption evaluations
  • Monitors completion of adoption evaluations and files completed report with the Court
  • Oversees Supervised Visitation Services, including scheduling, training of Monitors/Officers, etc.
  • Supervises Intervention activities of clerks and interns
  • Types letters, reports, and other communications
  • Responds to client/attorney/referral source inquiries
  • Assists with training sessions for non-custodial parents
  • Attends mediator continuing education activities
  • Mediates when necessary
  • Performs such other duties as may be assigned

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty with proficiency and minimum supervision. Prefer Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice, Social or Behavioral Sciences, a Legal Field, or equivalent job related experience. Prefer experience working with governmental agencies. Must be a trained mediator or be able to complete Basic Mediation Training and Family Mediation Training as available within Department. Texas motor vehicle operator’s license and automobile insurance or available alternate means of transportation in the relevant service area is required. Must not have been convicted of a Crime of Moral Turpitude.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Good communication skills and ability to interact with the public are required. Prefer individual with extensive knowledge of civil and criminal justice systems; excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; outstanding grammar and vocabulary; experience in public speaking; knowledge of office procedures, including how to operate office equipment; proficient in a variety of computer software programs; ability to learn about ADR and USDA services; organizational and multi-tasking skills; energetic, independent and self-motivated team player; follow oral and written instruction; knowledge of Code of Ethics for Neutrals and Code of Conduct for Court Personnel; specific knowledge of Texas Family Code; understanding of psychological concepts of good behavior, social adjustment, and emotional stability.
