Our mission is to spearhead the discovery and development of the next generation of innovative immunotherapies for cancer.
We seek a motivated and collaborative team member with molecular cloning, protein expression, purification, and characterization experience to join our Redwood Shore site's Discovery Protein Science group. The candidate will be part of a cross-functional project team working on antibody discovery, engineering, and early development in a highly collaborative and dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
Support antibody expression construct generation by
molecular cloning, DNA sequencing, and plasmid DNA purification
Support antibody expression and purification from mammalian cells (CHO) in small scales.
Antibody characterization/QC by SDS-PAGE, HPLC-SEC, and Gator to determine antibody quantity and quality.
Summarize and report experimental results.
Align with data entry and record-keeping requirements.
Contribute to technology development initiatives through your technical expertise.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelors or masters Degree in Biochemistry, Bioengineering, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology or a related subject area with 1-2 years industrial experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Hands-on experience in small-scale antibody production using mammalian expression systems in biotech/pharma industry settings.
Experience in antibody purification and characterization/QC.
Experience in simple molecular cloning and sequencing analysis.
Ability to solve complex technical problems with strong attention to detail and documentation in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
