Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Purchasing and Inventory Control Specialist to join our team. As a Purchasing and Inventory Control Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining accurate inventory levels, coordinating with suppliers and vendors, and ensuring efficient logistics and procurement processes.
Responsibilities:
- Manage procurement processes to optimize inventory accuracy and minimize discrepancies
- Monitor inventory levels and conduct regular audits to identify discrepancies or shortages
- Manage vendor relationships, including evaluating performance, resolving issues, and ensuring timely delivery of goods
- Coordinate with logistics teams to ensure efficient transportation and distribution of inventory
- Utilize MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems to track inventory levels, forecast demand, and generate purchase orders
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends, make recommendations for process improvements, and optimize inventory turnover
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree, or 10 years proven experience, in supply chain management or purchasing
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes and vendor management
- Proficient in using MRP systems and other inventory management software
- Strong analytical skills to analyze data and identify trends or issues
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in managing inventory records
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with suppliers, vendors, and internal teams
