The Cardiovascular Center of Excellence in the School of Medicine at LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans, LA is seeking a mature, highly organized, and self-motivated individual to fill the position of Research Associate 2 or Research Associate 3. Functioning independently, the successful candidate will participate in basic research studies and perform experiments in the field of cardiac metabolism in the biomedical laboratory of Dr. Qinglin Yang. We are particularly interested in individuals with animal research experience, lab managerial experience, and a background in cardiovascular-related fields. Specific duties include the maintenance of inventory databases, conducting surgical procedures and in vitro assays, collection, analysis, and reporting of research data.
