As the world's leading provider of on-board products and services, LSG Sky Chefs is seeking an outgoing candidate to join their team as a Transportation Coordinator. Don't worry, we'll break down what that means.

Firstly, you'll be responsible for ensuring all drivers adhere to A-1 Inspection procedures. In other words, you'll be the rule enforcer. Secondly, you'll be in charge of maintaining and monitoring employee safety. Think of yourself as a superhero, but instead of fighting crime, you'll be fighting workplace hazards.

What You will Do

• Develop and implement safety policies and procedures by local, state, and federal regulations.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
• Coordinate safety training programs for employees, including new hire orientation, ongoing safety education, and emergency response training.
• Responsible for SOP training for all new drivers and re-training of drivers
• Responsible for updating and maintaining all driver files
• Processing of all Port Authority/Customs identifications
• Ensure all State inspections, registrations and Insurance IDs for trucks are current
• Responsible for ensuring all drivers adhere to A-1 Inspection procedures
• Assist the Ramp Safety Supervisor as needed and perform other clerical duties as assigned

What You'll Bring

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 3-5 years’ proven safety/ramp experience in a similar role within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations and other relevant safety standards.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook, and other computer applications
• Ability to work with minimum supervision
• Strong analytical, verbal, written, interpersonal and organizational skills
• Detail oriented
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with large groups – must be flexible

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $27.00 per hour
