LSG Sky Chefs, a global leader in airline catering and logistics, is seeking a dedicated Ramp Safety Clerk to join our Ground Operations team. The Ramp Safety Clerk is responsible for ensuring the safety and efficiency of ramp operations by monitoring compliance with safety regulations, conducting safety inspections, and supporting the Ramp Safety Supervisor/Manager in implementing safety programs. This role is critical in maintaining high safety standards and ensuring smooth operational processes on the ramp.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular safety inspections and audits of ramp operations to ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor ramp activities to identify potential safety hazards and take corrective actions promptly.
• Support the delivery of safety training programs for ramp personnel.
• Assist in developing safety training materials and updating training records.
• Promote a safety-first culture by educating employees on safe work practices and procedures.
• Maintain and update safety-related documentation, including safety manuals, policies, and procedures.
• Assist with preparing safety reports and presentations for management review.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure cohesive implementation of safety initiatives.
• Assist in coordinating ramp operations during peak periods to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Support the implementation of safety improvements and best practices on the ramp.
• Participate in safety meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in occupational health and safety is a plus.
• Previous experience in aviation, ground handling, or a related field is preferred.
• This position requires working in an airport ramp environment, which involves exposure to outdoor weather conditions and high noise levels.
• Shift work, including nights, weekends, and holidays, may be required to support 24/7 operations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $20.13 per hour
