Firstly, you'll ensure all drivers adhere to A-1 Inspection procedures. Secondly, you'll be in charge of maintaining and monitoring employee safety training. Think of yourself as a superhero, but instead of fighting crime, you'll be fighting workplace hazards.

As the Driver Safety Coordinator, you'll ensure compliance and maintain employee safety. We're looking for someone who can work with minimum supervision, has strong analytical and organizational skills, and is detail-oriented.

What You Will Do

• Develop and implement safety policies and procedures by local, state, and federal regulations.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
• Coordinate safety training programs for employees, including new hire orientation, ongoing safety education, and emergency response training.
• Responsible for SOP training for all new drivers and re-training of drivers
• Responsible for updating and maintaining all driver files
• Processing of all Port Authority/Customs identifications
• Ensure all State inspections, registrations and Insurance IDs for trucks are current
• Responsible for ensuring all drivers adhere to A-1 Inspection procedures
• Assist the Ramp Safety Supervisor as needed and perform other clerical duties as assigned

What You'll Bring

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 3-5 years’ proven safety/ramp experience in a similar role within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations and other relevant safety standards.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook, and other computer applications
• Ability to work with minimum supervision
• Strong analytical, verbal, written, interpersonal and organizational skills
• Detail oriented
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with large groups – must be flexible

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $27.00 per hour
