Position Purpose:

Considered an expert or Master tech in the field of diesel/auto repairs through certification documents. Main responsibilities are medium-duty truck refurbishment/rebuild. Additional duties include prompt repair and maintenance of all LSG trucks, vehicles and fleet-related equipment. This would include upgrading systems, installation, repairs, and adhering to maintenance schedules of all equipment. Excellent ability to lead and teach others

Duties and Responsibilities:

**Attached description is not exclusive. In addition to listed duties, one must fulfill any reasonable request by management.

Responsible for maintenance of company vehicles, including power washing and cleaning of chassis, engines, transmissions and brake lines

Expert ability in analysis and troubleshooting of vehicle issues including electrical, engine, power train, hydraulic systems as well as frame assemblies

Correct or replace all electrical vehicle issues during refurbishment to OEM design

Master/Expert technical ability to perform all repairs from light to heavy including all electrical repairs and/or replacement

Review pre-trip inspections, evaluate repairs needed and test drive Company vehicles to identify concerns

Must have welding and fabrication skills, both mig & stick

PM inspections, weekly fluid & winterization checklists

Consistent communication with management including relevant issues relating to maintenance of company vehicles

Uphold company standards of professional appearance and communication

Job Qualifications (including but not limited to):

· Currently certified as an diesel/auto repair expert or master tech

· Self-starter, ability to work with minimal supervision

· Team player and has a desire to make the repair process better

· Detail oriented, have good organizational and communication skills

· Must be able to stand, bend, lift heavy objects and be on the move intermittently for shifts of at least 8 hours

· Proficiency in English speaking, reading and writing skills

· Adaptability to frequently changing environments, priorities & stressful situations

• Computer literate on various fleet software – diesel laptop, Cummings insight, Mitchell, wabco, Infor, EBIS, etc. Diagnostic lap top/IPad experience
• 4-5 Years related mechanical/electrical experience
• Truck/auto body work and/or fabrication experience preferred

Certification Requirements:

• ASE certification (Master Tech or equivalent) or an accredited technical diploma is required. Certifications must remain current during employment. Plus, candidate should have a desire for continuous learning and training to maintain skill set
• Obtain a commercial driver’s license (Class A or B) within 60 days of employment
• Must be able to obtain SIDA clearance for operation on the AOA (Airport Operations Area)

Job Specific Requirements:

· Flexibility and availability to work assigned schedule which may include: night, weekends and holidays

· Availability to work overtime as needed

· Successful completion of background check, TSA check, and drug screen

· Exposure to hot and cold temperatures and loud noises required

· Successful completion of mechanic’s interview aptitude test

· Keep and maintain Master/Expert tech certifications

· May be asked to travel to other locations on emergency basis, if needed
