We are looking for a skilled Meat Cutter to join our Quality Control Center's Meat Department in Boston, MA. We are looking for someone with experience as a meat cutter or butcher.

The Meat Cutter will perform quality inspections, use meat grinders, knives, saws, and other tools to cut meat down into smaller portions, weigh, label, and package cuts. To succeed in this position, you should be detail oriented, have a strong understanding of meat cuts, and have excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:

• Cutting, grinding and preparing meats
• Cleaning and maintaining tools and equipment
• Weighing, packaging, labeling, and storing products
• Keeping records, budgets, and inventory
• Performing quality inspections on meats and other products
• Adhering to food safety and sanitation controls

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a meat cutter or butcher required
• Knowledge of different cuts of meat and proper techniques for cutting and trimming
• Excellent knife skills and ability to use meat processing equipment
• Strong communication, task management, and customer service skills
• Ability to handle knives and other cutting equipment
• Ability to work in a wet and cold environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
