Maintenance Supervisor
Work Hours: Day shift with touchpoints across a 24/7 operation
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for developing and performing highly diversified duties to plan and manage the installation, troubleshooting of, repair of, and maintenance of production and facility equipment according to safety, preventive, predictive and productive maintenance standards. As a plant leader, works closely with other plant leadership in planning, implementing, and managing processes to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives. This role is responsible for maintaining the building, tools, machines, landscapes, vehicles, forklifts, and offices. This role is responsible for managing maintenance systems and personnel, overseeing the continuous improvement of manufacturing processes, and executing long term strategic plans. The Maintenance Supervisor resolves problems as they arise whether directly or by delegating to teams to solve issues. The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for developing, leading, and coaching a dedicated team of professionals. This includes giving direction, evaluating work, and following up on tasks.
Job duties are as follows but not limited to:
  • Develop and drive preventative and predictive maintenance strategies and ensures implementation by maintenance personnel.
  • Develop budgetary and financial plans for the maintenance and upkeep of equipment and overall plant infrastructure.
  • Develop and oversee engineering related projects.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time and within budgetary levels.
  • Develops projects as required, understands, and documents all requirements, economics, and project plan.
  • Manage equipment installation or refurbishments.
  • Determine need for equipment leases, purchases, and services - negotiate pricing and contracts with vendors and maintain vendor relationships
  • Evaluate completed work and check for conformance to specifications
  • Plans, organizes, schedules, and directs the design, maintenance, construction, renovation, and repair of plant facilities and equipment.
  • Oversee the Maintenance Management Program and related systems to ensure proper planning and scheduling of all maintenance activity
  • Hands-on leader that coaches, develops and supervises a staff of technical professionals engaged in operational support.
  • Maintain a high degree of operational efficiency through timely training of service personnel in new tools and developing workflow automation methods.
  • Adhere to all Company policies, procedures, and OSHA rules while carrying out maintenance functions in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or requested.
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • High school diploma/GED
  • Minimum of 5 years maintenance/technical experience
  • Minimum of 3 years management/supervisory experience
  • Excellent leadership abilities
  • Proven history of process and procedural improvements
  • Experience with developing and managing maintenance procedures and managing schedules and personnel.
  • Four-year degree or equal experience in industrial maintenance, engineering, or related field (preferred)
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos and to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to problem-solve involving few concrete variables in standardized situations.
